Job Description: 

As the new addition to the Healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring and delivering nursing care in accordance with nursing plans and professional practice standards.  Drawing from your past experience as a RPN you be asked to perform routine nursing duties, to that the emotional and physical comforts of clients are met.  As an experienced nurse you will confidently direct staff involved in client care, and assist in managing stressful situations with the utmost professionalism.  You are committed to quality, and implement physicians’ orders with accuracy.  The successful candidate will have two or more years experience, preferably in a community setting and will have graduated from an accredited nursing program and are licensed with the Provincial nursing regulatory body.
  
Position Requirements:

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse or eligible for registration
• Current BCLS certification
• 2 years current experience in critical care nursing
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient care requirements and critical care standards
• Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing care planning process
• Ability to utilize problem-solving and critical thinking techniques effectively in an ICU setting
• Proven interpersonal, communication, teamwork and leadership skills
• Ability to perform well in critical high stress situations
• Critical Care Certificate or evidence of current work in progress is preferred
